(Internet)
摘要(英) The increasing pressures of global competition make financial service organizations to provide more and more new products and services. In order to retain their customers with product innovations and service improvement, they must try to reduce operating costs, streamline operations and speed up the business process.
To cope with the challenge, these organizations are faced with a technological revolution in the marketing and delivery of financial services via Internet. Internet banking not only provides a new delivery channel to meet customer’s requirements, but also reduces the need for banking employees by pushing the work of data entry downstream to the customers’ home or workplace, giving them the advantage of 24-hour-availability of the services offered in return for doing then work by themselves.
As we know the Internet banking will be the next trend, we want to submit an exhaustive analytic tool to help traditional banks to transform their old business model to keep up with the new era.
We proposed PTM_EB to bridge the gap between old business model and new business model of banking. Our purpose of this research is to provide a framework used to analyze the current business model of traditional banking including IT infrastructure applications, and business processes. After identifying potential opportunities to be web implementation, we can design a new business model for Internet banking. In brief, the core of this framework is Object-Oriented concept.
We provide a framework of PTM_EB which applied Unified Modeling Language (UML) to analyze the old business model, including business process level, information system level and computer network level.
This framework contains five primary models, and each model can represent different view of banking. After static/dynamic modeling, we still have simulation model which applied High Level Petri Nets to simulate the performance of As-Is situation and To-Be situation. This result can provide the banking which want to implement electronic banking project a good reference.
