摘要(英) This study examined the effect of work-family conflict (WFC) for information Technology (IT) workers, including the antecedence of WFC (e.g., role ambiguity, role conflict, job involvement and IT usage) and the impact of WFC on work exhaustion. In addition, we wanted to find out the moderating effect of social support from supervisor, co-worker, family and friend on the relationship between WFC and work exhaustion. Data were gathered from 404 IT workers. Results showed that all antecedences of WFC were positively related to WFC. Moreover, IT workers who had higher degree of WFC experienced more work exhaustion. In addition, only supervisory support significantly moderated the relationship between WFC and work exhaustion, whereas the moderating effect of social support from co-worker, family and friend were insignificant. The discussion focuses on WFC and the moderating effect of social support for IT workers. At the end of this paper, the research limitations and managerial implications of this study will be discussed.
