A secondary total internal reflection(TIR) lens design method for implementation uniform rectangular illumination. In this study, we use the software, TracePro, to establish the TIR lens structural model, simulating ray trace, analyzing the optical results, and optimizing the TIR lens structural parameters. We design 20 degree to 100 degree candela distribution of uniform rectangular illumination of TIR lens. In source light splice research, we compare the traditional TIR lens with circular illumination. Because of the pattern overlapping issue, the surface has huge illuminance contrast between the light source center, the gap in coverage and overlap area, which makes the illumination uniform uneven. In the result, the illumination uniform of our design is increased by 84.3% to 88.8%. In the source light splice, our design also decrease the difference illuminance between the light source center, the gap in coverage and overlap area. |
