摘要(英) |
By the rapid development of medical technology, the life expectancy of a person increase according to the 2005 survey data of Ministry of Interior in Taiwan. The data show that the expectation of live is 74.5 years old for male, and the expectation of live runs up to 80.8 years old for female in Taiwan. Hence longer life expectancy of Taiwan people will be a trend in the future. How to have a longer life expectancy is not interested anymore, instead is how to live healthly in the aging period. The healthy we define here includes physiological, mental and social healthiness.
The official statistics in the report of the health of spot-check, there are 11.58% of elders think the health status are “good”, 21.86% “not bad”, 36.62% “okay”, 22.83% “not good”, 6.69% “bad”, and 0.43% “hard to talk”.
The goal of this paper investigates the people with the age over sixty-five years old, also known as the population of elderly people. First I analyze the data by the histogram, and further I use the chi-squared independence test, chi-square automatic interaction detection (CHAID), proportional odds models, and multiple correspondence analysis to understand what will cause the elders on the health status. In this study, we try to find the connection between the background of population (eg. age, gender,…etc.) and habits and so on. We research centers for further studies. |
