摘要(英) The complexity of urban planning needs both government and public collaboration as Taoyuan Government planning to revitalize Taoyuan City Old Business District. This research is using expert interview as the preliminary survey and continued with a questionnaire survey with a total of 307 respondents with objectives to explore the Smart City and Sustainable Concept application within the Taoyuan City Old Business District revitalization plan, and to examine the residents’ satisfaction level as public responses toward the plan. Interviewing stakeholders and representatives of related project in the past in order to explore their point of view toward the district and questionnaire. The satisfaction survey supplemented with a pilot survey to ensure the validity and reliability was conducted with an aim to strengthen the data integrity and to quantify the degree of concern using statistical analysis. The result revealed that Smart City and Sustainable Concept was applied with AR and VR integration as well as green energy as technology implementation, human resource improvement program was prepared, and the Taoyuan government was considered the relevant issue to fix in order. However, satisfaction survey results are poor. The residents feel moderately satisfied about the public transport facility (3), dissatisfied with the public security (2.58), daily life quality (2.5), public facility (2.3), environmental cleanliness (2.13), and very dissatisfied with the parking space availability (1.75). Sorted by the most concerning aspect from the satisfaction survey, the highest is the public facility (0.842), followed with daily life quality (0.814), public security (0.774), environmental cleanliness (0.675), public transportation (0.572), and parking space availability (0.534). The eagerness to have good public facility brings to the development bottleneck within the district such as quality of buildings, road service quality, pedestrian environment, park or open spaces, etc. that needs improvement.
