摘要(英) In this highly competitive society, knowledge is an important and valuable resource for individuals. Knowledge needs to be shared with others in order to maximize its role and value. For organizations, the ability to create and use knowledge determines organizational effectiveness. This study aims to explore the relationships among employees’ reciprocity, trust, workplace friendship and the intention to share knowledge. It is found that reciprocity, trust, and workplace friendship are respectively, positively related to employees’ intention to share knowledge. Reciprocity and trust are also positively related to workplace friendship. Workplace friendship mediates the relationship between reciprocity and knowledge sharing intention as well as the relationship between trust and knowledge sharing intention. Based on the findings, managerial implications and suggestions for future research are thus discussed.
