After crossing the millennium and then entering the 21st century, World become Internet-generation and Human being has been launched the 4th Industrial-revolution officially. Different than the previous three revolutions, the 4th Industrial-revolution is not easily control and forecast the development result of science and technology. This revolution of global cyberization will changes of human life and then bound to change the industrial production including manufacturing mode and business operation mode.
The IoT structure is including perception layer, network layer, and application layer. The application layer can be applied into different fields of the world. This paper focuses on the discussion about the application of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 Smart Manufacturing. The biggest difference between IIoT and Consumer IoT is that IIoT request unique connection with each other and higher security and stability. It is the key-technology to drive Industry 4.0 development. Since 2011, Germany has been announced the Industry 4.0 high-tech plan and finally defined "smart manufacturing" as the development goal for manufacturing industry.
Bruce Sinclair (2017) "IoT Inc." mentioned that any product combined with IoT devices can be generated different business models as: “Product business model”, “Product-Service business model”, “Service business model”, “Service-outcome business model” and “Outcome business model”. The Case Study of Corporation is a leading company of Equipment manufacturing for Display, Semiconductor, Solar fields and we expect to provide some suggestions for operation reference via this study.
"Integration" is more important than "technology development" once Equipment Maker involve IIoT business model. Because it is necessary to make the systematic analysis of the big data collected from IoT devices then enable to apply into business operations. The integration of the IIoT industry ecosystem platform must proceed step by step, first extending from the "point" to the "line" and then expanding to the "plane" of the IoT industry ecosystem platform. Therefore, operating industrial IoT equipment requires field-consultants with domain knowledge to integrate and lead Overall business strategy and development direction. |
