摘要(中) 在新一代的網路架構中,預期將提供一個 ALL-IP 且無遠弗屆的傳輸架構,在這個環境下,使用者無論身處何時何地,都應該能夠使用網路上的各種服務並且可以隨意的與其他使用這進行溝通,多媒體的溝通將不在僅限於一對一的通話,多方通話的能力應該是可被預期提供的服務,在這樣的需求下,一套完整且有效率的多方通話 (多點會議) 控制機制是必須的。在本篇論文中,我們採用了 SIP (Session initiation protocol) 為基礎的控制機制,提出了MSIP ,以使 SIP 能有效率的達成多點會議的目的,在此一控制機制,我們僅僅在 UA (User Agent) 端進行修改,所有 SIP 的 server 端皆不進行任何更動,並且也不需要新的 server node 被加到核心網路中,維持了核心網路的單純性與 SIP 的簡易性和其他 SIP UA 之間的相容性。同時我們亦設計了一套 multicast 的傳輸機制,其位置管理的部分將與 MSIP 做一個結合,以期能達到有效率的傳輸和低 cost 的管理兩個目標,在論文的最後,我們使用了 NS2 (Network Simulator 2) 來進行模擬,針對會議的建構時間,加入的延遲時間及傳輸的效能等方面做分析。 摘要(英) The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) provides advanced signaling and control functionality for a wide variety of multimedia services. This thesis introduces an extension of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to support multipoint conference. Via functions, a multipoint conference could be constructed by mobile hosts (User Agents, UAs). It requires no server side or network structure modifications. Considering the network performance and end-to-end delay, we propose a new multipoint mobile multicast location management mechanism using SIP. In this mechanism, each data packet is sent out using multicast and routed in a shortest path between any two members of a conference. This thesis also introduces the analytical model and performs simulation experiments using Network Simulator 2 (NS2). The experiment results demonstrate that this extension of SIP carries advantages in end-to-end packet delay and the processing time for a new participant to join a multipoint conference. 關鍵字(中) ★ 多點會議
