摘要(英) The strategic alliance has been increasingly discussed in sustainable supply chain management (SSCM). However, an emerging and more vital concept of the alliance, namely alliance portfolio, is mainly ignored in the SSCM context. For that reason, this research draws on the categorisation-elaboration model (CEM) to develop a multi-layer model with the purpose of exploring the influence of alliance portfolio diversity on SSCM performance (from economic, environmental, and social aspects). In addition to that, the mediating effect of sustainability collaboration is also tested. The field data with 321 Vietnamese manufacturers as the respondents are collected. The confirmatory factor analysis method is applied to assess scale accuracy, while the proposed model and hypotheses are evaluated through hierarchical linear regressions. The curvilinear and linear effect of alliance portfolio diversity facets on sustainability collaboration, which in turn enhances SSCM performance, is confirmed. By introducing CEM as a new theoretical background to the supply chain domain, this research investigates the ignored dynamic mechanisms of the effects of alliance portfolio diversity on SSCM performance.
