摘要(中) 近幾年來,人們越來越重視數位娛樂的活動。伴隨著購買數位家庭娛樂設備的成本降低,娛樂環境也跟著轉換,使用者從原本在書房獨自使用電腦轉換到在客廳與家人以及朋友一起分享。為了要達到在客廳享受多媒體資源的目的,人們需要擁有一個低單價且方便使用的裝置。家庭多媒體中心的概念已經被提出多年,但是目前市面上產品的功能並沒有能夠完全符合使用者的需求。那些產品大部分只是一個多媒體檔案的接收器,將電腦上的多媒體檔案串流輸出到電視或者音響設備上。這樣的功能並不能成為一個家庭的數位娛樂中心。除了撥放的功能外,多媒體中心應該具備取得、儲存以及分享多媒體資源的功能。
在這篇論文中,我們在Intel OloRiver 平台上實現了一個整合網路儲存設備(Network Attached Storage,NAS) 的多媒體中心,讓使用者能夠輕易的透過多媒體中心與電腦做連結,並且在沒有電腦的情形下也能夠透過多媒體中心從網路上取得各種多媒體資源。
摘要(英) In the recent years, people pay much attention to digital entertainment. Due to the cost of digital home entertainment device is down, people’’s habits changed. Before, people enjoy the multi-media resources alone in study room. Now, people share those resources with his family or friends in living room. In order to achieve above goal, people need a low cost and convenient device for enjoying multi-media contents. The idea of Home Media Center has been arisen for many years, but most of products just stream the contents from PC to TV or stereo device. Those products are not a center of digital home entertainment. Beside playback, a Home Media Center must be able to fetch, store and share the multi-media resources.
In this paper, we implement a Home Media Center which integrates Network Attached Storage based on Intel OloRiver. Thus, the Home Media Center can easily share the multi-media resources with PC and fetch the multi-media resources from Internet through the Home Media Center without PC.
