    Abstract: 本研究是利用掃瞄穿隧顯微鏡在矽(111)表面上低溫成長表面平坦之鉛量子島,研究內容包含三個子題:1. 鉛量子島之二維至三維成長轉變歷程之研究。2. 以在鉛量子島之Moirè patterns為模版成長有序排列之銀及鉛奈米結構上及3.在單層鉛薄膜之相變化研究。 在第一個部分,鉛原子於Si(111) 7 The study of formation and timing-fluctuations of 3D to 2D transition driven by quantum size effect (QSE) in the growth of multi-layer 2D Pb islands on Si(111) surfaces at low temperature; growth formation of self-organized nanopucks on Pb quantum islands and phase transition of nearly monolayer of Pb on Si(111) surface are investigated by low temperature scanning tunneling microscope (LT-STM). In the first topic, the morphology of Pb islands formed on Si(111)7
