The photoabsorption spectrum of N2O was measured in the wavelength region 100-220 nm by using VUV synchrotron radiation as the light source. The absorption spectrum of N2O consists of a structured continuum (B(1)Delta state) in 160-220 nm, a series of diffuse bands in 140-160 nm ((CII)-I-1 state), a dissociative continuum in 120-140 nm (D(1)Sigma(+)), and a region of many Rydberg states in 100-120 nm. Photoabsorption cross sections were compared with previous optical and electron measurements, and the differences were discussed.
