    Abstract: The dissipative drift-wave instability is considered in a non-uniform weakly ionized magnetoplasma when additional ionization is caused by electrons moving in the field of the wave. It is demonstrated that the instability can be considerably enhanced due to the wave-induced perturbations of the ionization/recombination balance and may therefore strongly affect transport properties of the plasma.
