中央氣象局地震測報中心推動之強地動觀測計畫，自民國八十年度起，以逐年設置儀器的方式，在台灣全島設置高品質的16位元數位式強震監測儀器，目前各區之自由場強震儀已大致安裝完畢，儀器維護及資料蒐集將是今後之工作重點。本計畫之目的即在協助中央氣象局，對大台北及宜蘭地區之強地動觀測網（共設有171座自由場強震儀）及17座結構物地震監測系統實施定期經常性之儀器檢測，並於大地震發生後能於最短時間內，前往責任區之各測震站，蒐集其地震記錄，同時定期蒐集此地區之強震記錄，以便建立更完整的地震資料庫，提供研究所需的強地動資料。 Since 1991, more than 600 free-field strong motion accelerographs had been installed by the Central Weather Bureau in Taiwan area. All accelerographs are 16-bit high resolution instruments. They can provide high quality strong motion data in the near future. This project will perform routine instrument examination and data collection of CWB Strong Motion Network (totally has 171 free-field accelerometers) and 17 building arrays instruments in the Taipei and Ilan areas. When large earthquakes occur, the instrument examination and data collection work will be done soon after events occurred. 研究領域：8807 ~ 8912
