    Abstract: CMS 實驗將於2005 年起將陸續安裝並完成系統測試。我們所負責的pre-shower 偵測器將於2006 年開始安裝。去年我們已建立一套矽探測器的封裝與雷射讀出系統,並完成測試,今年Pre-shower 將進入系統整合測試與安裝的階段,目前在 CERN 已經開始生產組裝所須的模具。本計劃的硬體工作為,(一)矽偵測器量測方面,在封裝前必須對已切割待封裝的矽偵測器再作電性測試,並且測量其厚度與寬度,然後將這些數據存入數據庫(crystal database),以便日後查詢。本年度計劃的主要工作即建立此一資料庫。 (二)組裝工作方面,在去年的計劃執行中,已經完成微焊機台的介面控制,今年我們將改進其自動化的程度,以便縮短大量組裝的時間和減少人為的疏失所導致的損失。在組裝完成後,的雷射讀出測試系統已經架設完成,接下來將進行實際的讀出測試。(三)模擬工作,去年我們將CMS 的模擬程式語言由Fortune 改為C++,以便利而後的CMS 分析架構,此外我們也解決了ECAL end-cap 與pre-shower 探測器在模擬程式中的錯位問題(mismatch),今年我們將已新的程式對pre-shower 重新做空間解析度的探討,並計算高能量 o 粒子(衰變成雙光子)與高能光子的分辨率。 work. There are followings, (1) Silicon Sensor Measurements: Before the assembly, all diced sensors will re-measure its CV and IV. In addition, the dimensions and the thickness will be measured to guarantee the sensor fits the geometry of hybrid and aluminum tile. Meanwhile, all these data will be stored in the Crystal Database (ECAL standard) that enables us to trace the history of all components. (2) Assembly: The interface of bonding machine has been set up and running smoothly. In order to optimize the time consuming and to reduce the man-made mistake, we plan to increase the automation of assembling. (3)Monte Carlo simulation: We have found out the mismatching between ECAL end-cap and pre-shower detector and solved the problem. Following this effort, we are going to study the spatial resolution of two photons in order to identify the Higgs signal. 研究期間:9308 ~ 9407
