    Abstract: 隨著網際網路的快速蓬勃發展,各種附加在網路上的服務也朝向多元化的發展,此時,如何在使用者權益以及提供服務的業者所應獲得的利益之間取得一個平衡點,就是一個值得研究的議題,也是確保網路服務與應用能持續發展的關鍵。其中,網路的服務效能,及安全保障應是讓網路服務能持續發展的重要因素。因此,在此網際網路已四通八達的環境下,如何開發更新穎且高品質的網路多媒體服務,及配合無線接取技術的普及,建立網路支援服務時所需之服務品質(Quality of Services, QoS)保證,並提供認證 (Authentication)、授權(Authorization)、和計費(Accounting)等機能(即AAA),實為相當重要的議題。近年來,對於行動網路中有關連線交握(Handoff)的研究大多偏向於較底層 (Lower Layer)交握技術之研究,例如,鏈結層或網路層的Mobile IP 等,但一條連線的交握程序應包括整體協定的交握才算完整。亦即,除了實體層、鏈結層、及網路層以外,原來連線所擁有的網路資源(如頻寬等)、服務品質、及完成安全認證等高層協定也應一併交握,程序才算完整。因此,本計畫即在研究行動網路與異質(Heterogeneous)網路中,高層協定的交握方法,包括QoS, 及AAA,讓連線交握程序能完整,探討網際網路之計費模式;並利用移動關聯性及啟髮式(Heuristic)的方法,以縮短交握時間,目標是讓高層協定的交握能與網路層以下之交握時間相近,以維持連線服務品質。另外,由於IPv6 協定比IPv4 具備更完整的移動(Mobile)控制能力,且將在3G 與B3G 等All-IP 網路中所應用,因此本研究計畫的網路層協定將以IPv6 為基礎,以因應未來網路技術之發展。計畫將分兩年度進行,第一年度主要將探討以轉折點(Cross over)概念進行有效率之高層協定交握方法研究,第二年度將第一年度之研究成果,討論以服務品質為導向之各種計費,以WLAN 建立實驗測試平台,並擴展至異質網路架構。 As the rapid deployment of internet, several internet services and applications are various, and it is an important issue to maintain a balance point between the users』 requirements and the profit of network/service providers. This issue also affects the continuous development of internet services. Among them, the quality or services (QoS) and security are the major issues to ensure the continue development of internet. Therefore, it is very important to develop efficient QoS mechanism and to provide authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) functions when the internet extends in all directions by using the wireless technologies. Recently, the studies of handoff procedure for wireless networks mainly focus on the handoff at lower layers (below network layer). However, a complete handoff procedure shall include all layers so that the QoS, allocated resource, and security of a connection can be maintained during its moving. This project studies the handoff procedures of high layers in a heterogeneous wireless network. The purpose of this study is to minimize the time of handoff while ensuring the QoS and authenticated security by using mobility correlation property and heuristic approaches. And the QoS based accounting model will also be studied in this project. As the IPv6 protocol is regarded as the main network layer protocol of 3G/B3G and future networks due to its versatile characteristics in handling mobility, we will adopt IPv6 in our research. This project is scheduled into two years. The purpose of the first year is to study the basic algorithm of high layer handoff procedure by finding the cross point in the network. The study results of the first year will be applied for the consideration of QoS based accounting models, establish an experimental test environment, and will be extended for the applications in the heterogeneous wireless networks in the second year. 研究期間:9308 ~ 9407
