第一章 緒論 首先論述研究動機與目的，經由解釋本論文中的一些關鍵名詞，以劃定研究主題與範圍，並回顧前人研究成果。 第二章 上古至六朝冥界觀的演變 本章中整理六朝之前中國「冥界觀」的形成與演變，以掌握文化分析時的所需要歷史背景。 第三章 陰陽兩界的跨越 本章從李豐楙「常與非常」理論，解析人們對生死之間界線的劃分。從民俗學角度來看，人們對死者有著眷戀與懼怕的雙重情感，為了怕亡魂作祟，經由喪葬儀式強調生死相異，將死者與活人的世界區隔開，但又因為對死者的懷念與好奇，透過巫與祭祀等活動，企望能聯結生死之間的紐帶。 第四章 「入冥故事」與其意涵 本章依照情節將入冥故事區分為「魂魄入冥」與「肉身入冥」兩種，分別論述之。並討論小說創作所寄寓於虛幻的異界中的願望，冥中的種種可看作是現實世界的一個變形，而「入冥出冥」的過程，亦象徵在亂世之中，人們期待疲憊汙濁的生命能有洗滌淨化、重新開始的機會。 第五章 「死後現形故事」與其意涵 本章從六朝志怪中文本中摘尋出「死後現形」故事，分析其不同類型，並考察故事情結產生之文化心理，此類故事的產生應出於人們對「公義天道」與「生命歷程圓滿」的渴求。現實世界中，死亡帶來遺憾與不平，人們便透過小說創作加以紓解。 第六章 結論 本章綜論論文各章的結論，並提出「生死越界」主題中，值得繼續研究的幾個方向。 ABSTRACT: Chapter one: Introduction First describe the motive and purpose of the research. This chapter discuss how people separate the death by funeral. And also try to keep the communication with underworld by psychic and offer sacrifice to ancestors. Chapter four: The significance of ”visiting the underworld” stories. The ”visiting the underworld” stories can be sort in two types: ”spirit vister” and “physical visiter” In these stories, the underworld can be seen as a refraction of real world, and the course of visiting also shows the expectation of cleaning and renewing the soiled life and soul. Chapter five: The significance of ”returning ghost” The chapter is about the returning ghost and the psychological cause of these stories. Because the desire for justice and the perfection of life, people allow the ghost to return in the cration of literature and to recover the lose of fair in real life.
