「以心著性」之概念是牟宗三先生詮釋宋明儒學之理論系統時所提出的義理間架,然其本人並未就此一概念本身所觸及的理論問題與哲學意涵做更進一步的分析與探究,是以本文之作主要是希望能就「以心著性」本身作為一獨立的哲學理論觀之,分析探究其哲學意涵與理論效力,從而證成此一概念的哲學性基礎以及對其理論意義能有較為系統的說明。筆者於文中將論證此一概念的理論架構作為宋明儒學發展中最為圓熟的哲學體系是如何判定並展現其理論意義的。是以筆者將主要由心性關係的論述、形上學層面的超越意涵以及人性中惡之根源的的問題意識切入,突顯出此系理論模式與其他儒學的不同及其殊勝之處。因此,本文的研究雖立基於文獻的根據,但並非是一歷史的研究,而是藉由文獻的閱讀進至哲學的詮釋,對於問題做一理性的知識之理解,藉此突顯出問題本身的哲學意義。 The concept of “I Hsin Tsu Hsing” is the skeleton of justice and reason formulated and interpreted by Mou Tsung-san’s theoretical system of Neo-Confucianism. However, he didn’t penetrate its theoretical problem philosophical significance through further analysis and research. This is what the dissertation tries to justify and explain the philosophical basis and the theoretical meaning more systematically by means of the analysis and research of the philosophical implication and its theoretical effectiveness. So the author endeavors to explicate the relationship between mind and nature, the transcendant implication of the metaphysical aspect and the problematic concept of the origin of evil in human nature to make conspicuous the advantages of the system and the difference between the theoretical patterns of the systems and other confucianisms. Though the research is based on archives, it is not the study on history . I try to put forward the philosophical sense of the problem itself through the wide readings of archives and the reasonable understanding of the problem.
