國內機動車輛成長快速,交通狀況已變得十分複雜,許多國家正積極發展智慧型運輸系統(ITS),期以電腦與通訊等尖端科技來改善現有運輸問題。由於利用駕駛模擬儀作實驗比實車實驗較具有駕駛實驗安全、成本較低與實驗項目較易掌控等特性,因此駕駛模擬儀是可用以探討在不同人、車、路、環境與ITS使用情況下之駕駛行為反應。本計畫是九十三年度至九十六年之駕駛模擬儀四年計畫的第三年期計畫,本年期工作重點是改裝交通部運輸研究所之駕駛模擬器,並進行實車與駕駛模擬儀系統驗證測試工作,以擴充其應用範圍及增加實驗真實性。此外,本計畫將建立場景模組化及實驗城規劃、智慧型運輸系統之評估程序及駕駛人行為反應之資料庫,並進行三項應用駕駛模擬實驗及進行相關統計資料分析。 The number of motor vehicles has been growing rapidly in Taiwan, and traffic conditions have become more complex than before. The development of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) using high technology computers and communications to solve transportation problems is proliferating worldwide. Compared to the testing of vehicles on the road, driving simulators (DS) have many advantages. They are safer, cost less, and allow for the control and replication of experiment situations. Hence, a DS is a useful and economical tool to explore driver behavior in relation to different driver, vehicle, road, environmental and use of ITS technology situations. This study is the third year of a four-year project (between 2004 and 2007) using the DS developed by the Institute of Transportation, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (IOT-DS). The major tasks of this study are to refit the IOT-DS system and validate the system by field tests for expanding its application targets and reality. In addition, this study will create scenario module, plan IOT-DS city, establish driving performance and safety assessment procedure of ITS and build up driver behavior database from the DS experiments.
