近年來全球定位系統GPS之地球科學應用日益蓬勃發展,目前世界上最新近的應用為監測地震前地球表面上空90-20000公里高之電離層電子含量TEC異常變化。中央氣象局目前建立有上百個GPS連續觀測站,監測台灣地殼變動與斷層活動。本研究計畫之目的為利用?有觀測站記錄資料計算電離層全電子含量,並且統計分析赤道異常峰之強度、位置和發生時間,用以監測台灣地區地震前電離層全電子含量異常前兆。 Recently, the global positioning system (GPS) has broad applications in geosciences. The latest application is to detect anomalies in the total electron content (TEC) of the ionosphere, ranging from 90 to 20,000 km altitude, over an earthquake epicenter. The Central Weather Bureau (CWB) has set up hundreds of GPS receivers to monitor land deformation and seismicity. This project is to deduce ionospheric TEC from measurements of the existing GPS receiver network and statistically analyze the strength, location, and occurrence time of the crest of the equatorial ionization anomaly for identifying and monitoring pre-earthquake anomalies of GPS TEC in Taiwan. 研究期間:9501 ~ 9512
