近年來,大陸地殼岩石圈之流變現象,特別其對於大型地震成核過程之影響,已引起許多討論。本計畫使用降伏強度包絡線法(Yield Strength Envelopes,簡稱YSEs)進行流變模擬,以研究其對於希臘地區1956 年阿瑪格斯(Mw 7.6)與2008 年西北伯羅奔尼撒(Mw 6.4)地震之影響。此二筆大規模地震皆在岩石圈深部成核,且皆有文獻探討其震源特性。本研究並將囊括區域速度模型、地震目錄、區域應變率及熱流分佈進行模擬計算,這些資料可經由公開資料庫或已發表之研究論文取得。 The rheological behaviour of the continental lithosphere has been recently a matter of debate especially regarding the aspect of its influence on the nucleation of large earthquakes. This proposal uses rheological modelling in the form of Yield Strength Envelopes (YSEs) in order to investigate this influence on the occurrence of two large events in Greece: the 1956 Amorgos (Mw 7.6) and the 2008 NW Peloponnese (Mw 6.4) earthquakes. Both of them nucleated at large depths inside the lithosphere and for both of them there is existing literature concerning their source characteristics. Additional datasets that will be needed for this modelling are regional velocity models, seismicity catalogs, geodetic strain rates and heat flow maps all of which are publicly available through databases or published research papers. 研究期間:9908 ~ 10007
