    Title: 含Schiff;Base盤狀無機分子及以Triketone為中心結構之液晶材料 Metallomesogenic Materials Derived from Schiff-Bases and Triketonates

    Abstract: 本篇論文主要分成兩個部分:以3-hydroxy-3-(naphthalen-2-yl) acrylaldehyde作主體,延伸出化合物2及4a-4c,分別為系列一、二之配位基,再和金屬反應生成錯合物1及3a-3c為第一個部分;第二個部分探討的是含triketone的有機液晶分子的特性。 系列一為對稱的萘環結構,配位基2 (n= 6, 8, 12, 16)及銅錯合物1 (n= 8, 12, 16) 均具有Colh液晶相;系列二為不對稱的萘環和苯環結構,減少中心硬端的比例,並改變側鏈基支數和推拉電子的能力,使液晶行為更加穩定,呈現的液晶相種類亦為Colh液晶相。並透過理論計算推測盤狀堆疊的情形,再配合MASS及IR,證實錯合物為雙金屬配位。 系列三在設計分子時,除側鏈基碳數(n= 8, 10, 12, 14, 16)的不同,並藉由增加-OH官能基改變amine的結構,進而和文獻結構比較探討氫鍵作用力對分子排列的影響。其中化合物5a (n= 14, 16)為SmC液晶相;而系列5b 則有廣泛的SmA液晶相。 以上系列皆利用NMR、EA等儀器分析鑑定結構及純度;而液晶性質則使用POM、DSC及變溫XRD進行探討。 This report is divided into two parts: the first, series I, II respectively the ligands 2, 4a-4c, and their complexes 1, 3a-3c. Synthesis, characterization and mesomorphic properties of new mesogenic derivatives based on 3-hydroxy-3-(naphthalen-2-yl) acrylaldehyde. The second part is the organic liquid crystal based on triketone. All organic derivatives were characterized by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.Their physical properties were characterized by optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and temperature-dependent powder X-ray diffraction measurements. In series I, ligands 2 (n = 1, 4, 8, 12, 16) and complexes 1 (n = 8, 12, 16) were exhibited Colh phase, and series II has more stable mesomorphic properties, is also exhibited Colh phase. Arrange through theoretical evaluation, with the MASS and IR, to proved Cu2+ ion formed binuclear complexes. Finally, in series III, we changes of alkoxy chain and increase the-OH functional group of amine, to contrast with literature. Ligands 5a (n = 14, 16) exhibited SmC phase and 5b (n = 8, 10, 12, 14, 16) exhibited SmA phase.
