    Abstract: 本三年計劃期間(從2010年夏天到2013年夏天 ),大型強子對撞機正在進行初期的運轉,我們在這關鍵時期的工作,將包括:(1) 持續維護CMS的Preshower 探測器,這是我們在硬體方面的責任,以及維護其模擬與重建軟體、資料庫和數據品質監控系統;(2) 進行 Preshower 探測器的校正工作;(3) 利用頭三年的CMS實驗數據尋找第四代夸克的跡象。我們的重點將會放在 b´→cW衰變頻道。由於LHC的高對撞能量,因此我們將有機會在LHC找到第四代夸克,如果有第四代夸克的存在或者是完全排除第四代夸克的存在可能性。In this three-yearʼs project (from summer 2010 to summer 2013), LHC operation is in the start-up phase. In this critical period, we will perform the following three major tasks: (1) continue the maintenance and operation of the Preshower detector which is our hardware responsibility and maintain the Preshower simulation and reconstruction softwares in CMSSW, databases and data quality monitoring; (2) Preshower in-situ MIP calibration and ES-EE inter-calibrations; (3) use the first three yearʼs data to search for the fourth generation quark. We will focus on the b´→cW channel. The higher center of mass energy of LHC provides larger b´ production cross section, so we can explore the full b´ mass coverage for the first time and have the potential to discover the fourth generation quarks if they exist or exclude its existence completely. 研究期間:10008 ~ 10107
