    Title: 中華衛星一號所觀測由磁暴突始產生的電漿波脈動現象;SSC Related Plasma Pulsation Observed by ROCSAT-1 at 600 km topside Ionosphere.

    Abstract: 摘 要 相較於過去針對地磁脈動現象的觀測方法,本研究使用中華衛星一號(IPEI)於地理緯度正負三十五度範圍內及距地表600公里高度電離層運行所接收到的太空電漿資料,直接利用當地電漿飄移速度變化的方法來觀測電漿波脈動現象。利用美國NGDC所提供的SSC列表,根據發生時間分析中華衛星一號對應相同時間收到的電漿資料以描繪600公里高度之電漿飄移現象,並觀察是否出現脈動現象。同時利用日本京都大學提供的高時間解析(一分鐘)磁場變化資料,針對地磁場擾動所造成的磁場抬升值(ΔB)做統計。另外,針對中華衛星一號在SSC列表對應相同時間運行的位置,紀錄觀測地點的地區時間及對應的磁緯度並做統計。本研究使用中華衛星一號自1999年3月至2003年12月的衛星資料做分析,對應列表提供SSC發生的時間,共計152個有效的衛星資料,其中只有8個出現脈動現象的事件。探討ΔB、磁緯度及地區時間對脈動現象出現的影響,在衛星資料的分析中,ΔB值及磁緯度值似乎與能否觀測到電漿波脈動現象有關,但是ΔB大或磁緯度高的資料中並非一定能觀測到脈動現象;而地區時間與脈動現象的出現則無明顯相關。此外,因為副磁暴也可能是造成電漿波脈動現象的來源,所以將副磁暴是否發生一起納入討論範圍。 Abstract The paper applies a new method in observing the SSC related plasma pulsation in opposite to the observation before. The research use the data from ROCSAT-1 satellite (IPEI) orbiting with a with a 35°inclination and at 600-km ionosphere to observe the plasma drift directly with the given time from the SSC list provided by NGDC in United State. There are 8 pulsation events presented from 152 SSC events in the analysis of ROCSAT-1 data during 1999 Mar to 2003 Dec. Moreover, the research do a statistics in the variation of magnetic field, the dip latitude of the location of the ROCSAT-1 satellite in given time, and the local time of the location of the satellite in the given time. In conclusion, the magnitude of the variation of magnetic field and the dip latitude of the location should be relative to the appearance of the pulsation in the analysis of ROCSAT-1 data. In addition, the appearance of substorm is also discussed because substorm could be a source of geomagnetic pulsation.
