    Title: 台灣地區中大型地震震源參數分析;Source Analysis of Moderate to Large Earthquake in Taiwan

    Abstract: 中央氣象局自1991年以來,陸續在全台設置的強震網(TSMN),對於中大型以上的島內地震而言,均可得到大量且有良好之方位角包圍性的近場強震記錄,提供地震最直接之震源破裂過程的訊息。本研究利用近場的強震資料,忽略衰減效應、路徑效應,以半空間的介質快速計算格林函數,以波形逆推的方式,求出斷層破裂面上的錯動量分布情形,以此求出其他相關斷層參數。 利用此方法,我們陸續針對台灣地區93年至今,規模大於5、震央位於島內、震源深度在20公里以上的6個地震及99年的集集地震、嘉義地震及嘉義地震之最大餘震(規模6.0)做分析,得出其錯動量分布,並由此得出其地震矩、斷層長(L2)、寬(W2)、斷層面積(A2)、平均錯動量( )及應力降( )等等。綜合本研究及宜蘭地震、蘭嶼地震、屏東地震之結果,在板塊邊界的地震應力降約在10 bars 以下,少數在西部平原的地震應力降在100 bars 以上,其餘地震應力降均在10-100 bars 之間,和世界所得出的結果相似。陸續分析的結果,我們得出地震矩與芮氏規模之關係式為: 由此,我們得出新的地震矩規模與地震矩之關係。新求得之地震矩規模與震源參數間的關係為: 本研究利用簡易格林函數之波形逆推,可以快速且可靠的求出地震發生時斷層面上錯動量分布的大致情形及平均錯動量,並得出震源參數間的經驗公式。所得出的經驗式和世界其它研究所得相似,顯示本研究所得之結果有其可靠性。陸續分析各地震所得出之震源參數的關係,將可提供未來地震防災上的參考。 Taiwan Strong Motion Network (TSMN) had been operated by the Central Weather Bureau since 1991. Most of moderate to large earthquakes in Taiwan had been well recorded by the dense network. These stations are usually very close and have good azimuthal coverage to the epicenters of most of inland earthquakes. These near source records provided us a good opportunity to understand the rupture processes of the earthquakes on a quick and reliable basis. We analyzed nine M>5 inland earthquakes with focal depth than 20 km including 1999 Chi-Chi and two 1999 Chia-Yi earthquakes. Through waveform inversion analysis, we obtained the slip distribution and seismic moment, fault length(L2), fault width(W2), fault area(A2), average displacement( ) and stress drop( ) of the corresponding event. Combined the results of 1995 I-Lan earthquake, 1996 Lan-Yu earthquake and 1996 Ping-Tung earthquake, we obtained the possible scaling relationship of these events. These experimental relationships will, then, be helpful in providing information on hazard assessments in Taiwan. The stress drops of most of the events are about 10 to 100 bars except for the earthquakes near the plate boundary and coastal plain earthquake.
