希臘位於歐洲大陸中,構造活動最活躍的板塊之上。板塊運動不僅造成頻繁的地震活動,且帶來地震災害及人員損傷。透過地震震源機制之研究,我們將能更進一步瞭解該區域的地震構造及地體動力作用,以期減少地震帶來的損害。近年來雅典國家觀測實驗室(National Observatory in Athens)地體動力研究所整合了2001 年迄今,地震規模大於4,總數超過800 筆的區域地震矩張量目錄,提供了研究希臘地區地震地體構造一組絕佳的資料。我們計畫完整分析此目錄,以瞭解(一)統計上的特性;(二)更準確的地震矩張量解;及(三)與全球定位系統(GPS)研究所得之地震變形型態進行比較。本研究將與中央研究院地球科學研究所梁文宗博士合作,其過去對台灣寬頻地震網(BATS) 的CMT 解已有良好的研究經驗,梁博士的參與將有助於本研究工作的完成。 ; The Greek region lies in one of the most tectonically active areas in Europe and the whole world, that results in the generation of numerous earthquakes some of them causing damage and casualties. Reliable information about earthquake source mechanisms will be of help to the better undestanding of seismotectonics/geodynamics of the region and seismic hazard mitigation. A regional moment tensor catalog recently compiled by the Institute of Geodynamics, National Observatory of Athens for the period 2001-today contains more than 800 solutions and may contribute towards the seismotectonic study of the Greek region. Here we propose a complete analysis of this catalog both in terms of (a) its statistical properties, (b) accuracy of the solutions when compared to other solutions, and (c) comparison of the seismic deformation pattern obtained with that stemming from various GPS surveys. This work will be done in collaboration with Dr Liang who has already performed a similar analysis to the BATS CMT catalog in Taiwan. ; 研究期間 9708 ~ 9807
