    Abstract: 中大高能組負責製作四分之一CMS-preshower 探測器所需的矽探測器,我們目前以進入量產與封裝的階段。同時我們也設計矽探測器偏壓之分配線路板。將來在擷取數據實際操作時,我們必須隨時監測偵測器整體的電壓、電流、溫度等環境參數,以確保探測器有效的運轉。為了達成此一目的我們設計並建造一探測器監控系統,隨時可以了解探測器各零組件的狀況並隨時監控它們的參數。這個監控器分成以下四部份: 1. 溫度監控:Preshower 內部必須保持零下5 度,而外部則須保持18 度。 2. 濕度監控:為防止Preshower 內部結冰,必須監控濕度。 3. 冷卻液流量監控:若冷卻液流量停止,整體Preshower 必須關閉。 4. 電性監控:監控讀出系統之電壓及電流。中大高能組負責整個監控系統之設計、測試及建造,以及之後系統控制與 CMS 整合之軟體開發。 ; The NCU HEP group has been involving in the CMS Preshower project since 2000 with the production of a quarter (1200 pieces) of the total needed silicon sensors. Now we have finished the process of silicon sensor production and its qualification. We concentrate on the gluing of the silicon onto ceramics support and aluminum tile, then the assembly with the readout electronics to make a micromodule. We also are designing a patch panel to distribute the 192 channels of bias voltage to 4288 silicon sensors. Another important aspect of building such a complex detector as the CMS Preshower is the ability to oversee and safeguard its proper functionality without any interruption. To achieve this, our group takes charge of developing a monitoring and control system, which ensure all parts of the detector and its environment are within the specify safety margin and to act accordingly when something unusual occurs. The Detector Control System (DCS) for the CMS Preshower comprises several distinct parts: 1. Control of the window heating temperature to provide a constant 18 degree C at the exterior surface of the Preshower. 2. Monitoring of environmental sensors (temperature, humidity) to make sure that the Preshower is functioning properly. 3. Monitoring of the running condition of the data readout electronics system (voltages, currents, temperatures) to ensure its proper functioning. 4. Receive signals from CMS Detector Safety System (DSS) on safety warning of the flow of coolant liquid to/from the Preshower, and of any smoke in the Preshower. 5. An interlock system to shut down the silicon bias voltages, front end electronics power and DAQ racks in the case of overheating, cooling failure, smoke detection and other safety concerns. ; 研究期間 9708 ~ 9807
