    摘要: 近年來WiMax 技術之發展相當快速,FixedWiMax 及MobileWiMax 等相關基礎標準協定均已訂定,WiMax 網路建設規模與影響層面正逐步擴展中。我國在2007 年七月也順利核發WiMax 執照,因此,WiMax 網路之商業營運已指日可待。而當網路基礎建立完成後,商業運轉能否成功,服務的提供及網路品質的有效管理居關鍵因素。相較於 3G 與WiFi 網路,WiMax 在對網路效能與服務品質技術的掌握仍處發展階段,這也是目前相當重要的研究議題。為因應此情勢發展,本計畫將以過去在WiMax 技術研究及網路建置之成果為基礎,進行WiMax 網路品質之跨層設計研究,及以WiMax 為接取網路之IP 多媒體服務子系統(IPMultimedia Subsystem, IMS)控制流程整合研究。為完整提供端點到端點IP 服務,WiMax 標準組織已於2007 年3 月提出包括核心網路之WiMax 完整架構,將網路分為接取服務網路(Access Service Network, ASN)及連線服務網路(Connectivity Service Network, CSN)兩部份,分別訂出R1 到R6 之參考介面,再依安全認證、計費、移動管理、及QoS 管理所需提出相關控制訊息流程。而由於此部份議題仍有許多待討論空間,而且其控制流程僅為初步之規劃,範圍侷限在WiMax 網路內部,並未考慮提供服務時之效率問題,因此,本研究計畫將以IMS 服務需求為基本考量,進行包括服務架構設計、協定流程整合、網路品質跨層設計、及NGN 網路 QoS 演算法設計等項目之研究。本研究計畫除進行相關理論研究外,也將在現有WiMax 實驗網路架構下,進行IMS 平台之實作與架設,建立WiMax/IMS 服務開發與測試環境。本計畫為三年之研究計畫,第一年度主要研究重點為WiMax 網路QoS 之跨層設計,與IETF 組織16NG 工作小組所提IP overWiMax 流程研究及效能分析;第二年度主要研究重點包括WiMax 與EPON/WDM 整合網路資源管理與路由配置方法研究、WiMax 與IMS 網路QoS 跨層設計、WiMax 網路R2 與R3 整合流程設計、及IMS 平台實作並與WiMax 網路整合;第三年度之主要研究重點為WiMax 網路R4 與R5 整合流程設計、 NGN/IMS 服務開發與測試環境建立、及舉辦發表會說明所建立之服務開發與測試平台。本計畫理論與實務並重,計畫之執行對新一代通訊網路領域之學術發展,人員培養、及通訊產業技術之提升均有相當大之助益。 ; Recently, the development ofWiMax Technology is very fast. The standards of fixedWiMax and mobileWiMax has been worked out and the deployment scale and impact ofWiMax network are expanding. In Taiwan, theWiMax licenses were issues this July. Therefore, the commercial operation of WiMax will come very soon. The services provisioning and the effective quality management will be the key issues of the success of commercial operation when the network infrastructure has been deployed. Comparing to the 3G and WiFi networks, the above two issues are under developed and are recognized as critical research topics at current stage. In order to cooperate with this situation, based on ourWiMax research results and the experience ofWiMax deployment, this project is proposed for the cross layer network quality design and the control signals integration ofWiMax bease IMS network. In order to provide end to end IP connectivity service,WiMax Forum has published the end to end network architecture, which includes the core network and divides the architecture into Access Service Network (ASN) and Connectivity Service Network (CSN). R1 to R6 reference interfaces are specified and the signals required for security authentication, accounting, mobility management, and QoS management are also described associated with those reference interfaces. However, several above issues need to be further study and the control flows are the preliminary design and only confined within theWiMax network. The efficiency and performance of providing network services are not well discussed. Therefore, in this project, we focus the study of service architecture design, protocol integration, cross layer design of network quality, and QoS algorithm of NGN network from the IMS service point of view. In addition to the theory study, we will construct a service development platform ofWiMax/IMS platform based on our existingWiMax test network. This project is of three years. The main issues of the first year are cross layer QoS design of WiMax network, and the study and performance analysis of the message flows of IP over WiMax proposed by the 16NG working group of IETF. For the second year, the main topics include resource management and routing ofWiMax and EPON/WDM integrated network, cross layer QoS design ofWiMax and IMS network, flow integration study of R2 and R3 interfaces inWiMax network, and the development of IMS platform and its integration with WiMax test network. The main issues of the third year include the signals integration study of R4 and R5 interfaces inWiMax network, the establishment of NGN/IMS service development and test platform, and to hold a launch event to present the functions of the developed platform. This project focus not only the theory study but also practical implement. The execution of this project will be very helpful for the academic research, people training, and the technology evolution of communication industry. ; 研究期間 9708 ~ 9807
