寬頻相位陣列常使用於微波與毫米波之通訊與雷達系統中,設計此種相位陣列的困難度在於每個陣列元件必須可以在寬通帶中操作,一般相位陣列的元件包含功率分歧器、相位移器與輻射元件,其中相位移器為最重要之元件,因為相位移器能控制波束的掃描,且其維修成本最高。此研究計畫的目標為完成Ka 頻帶相位陣列的研究與開發,所提出的相位陣列元件包含一對四寬頻功率分歧器、四線相位移器與四個磁場面輻射元件。相位移器的相位移由壓變材料控制,輻射元件則將使用韋瓦地天線或對蹠韋瓦第天線,此相位陣列操作於 Ka 頻帶,且其掃描角度為正/負四十五度。 ; Wideband phased arrays play important roles in microwave and millimeter-wave systems. They have been widely used in communication and radar systems. In order to meet the wideband requirement, each elements of a phased array needs to operate in a wide bandwidth, which challenges modern engineers. The basic building blocks for a phased array are power divider, phased shifter, and radiating element. Though power dividers and radiating elements are important devices for a phased array, phased shifters are of the most importance because they control the phase shift to scan the beam and they are most expensive in the phased array. In this proposed research topic, a Ka-band wideband phased array will be built. The phased array consists a 1 x 4 power divider, a four-line phased shifter, and a 1 x 4 H-plane radiating array. The power divider is a Wilkinson power divider. The phased shifter is a piezoelectric transducer-controlled phased shifter. The radiating array would be of four antipodal Vivaldi antennas.
