發光二極體(LED)已被普遍的使用在LCD背光模組上。但一般而言LED背光模組所發出的光被視為非偏振光(un-polarized light),然而經由我們的實驗結果與研究分析,LED背光模組所發出的光是部分偏振(partial polarization)。本篇論文主要是經由實驗量測與研究分析來討論LED背光模組發光的部分偏振(partial polarization)狀態。 本研究是適當的利用此一特殊狀態來提升LCD模組亮度。經由本研究結果顯示,LCM的亮度至少可增加11%。 這篇論文對HD LCD亮度的提升,例如: 4k2k display,提供另一個新的參考。 LED has been widely used in LCD backlight application. Generally speaking, the emitting light from LED backlight modules is considered as unpolarized light. However, based on our testing result and analysis, the emitting light from LED backlight modules is partially polarization. This thesis covers the discussion of partial polarization state of emtting light from LED backlight modules and the way to enhance the brightness of LED backlight modules by partial polarization. The result shows the brightness can be increased at least 11%. This thesis can provide another new reference for enhancing brightness on hight definition LCD, ex 4k2k Display.
