    Abstract: 研究期間:10108~10207;In this research proposal, I will present the physics analysis that my research group plans to accomplish in the period of August 1, 2012 to July 31, 2013. My research group includes myself, two postdocs, one Ph.D. student, and three master students. We are going to analyze the data collected by the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment in years 2011 and 2012. We will perform measurements and search for physics beyond standard model in events containing a vector boson and jets. Here, the vector boson refers to a photon or a Z boson. In order to help estimating the background contribution to searches for Higgs boson or particles predicted by new physics, such as supersymmetry, apart from the measurements of the ratios of production cross sections, we will measure the distributions of a number of angular correlation variables. We will also reconstruct the invariant mass of vector bosons and jets and look for phenomenon that indicates the decays of new particles decaying into vector bosons and jets.
