研究期間：10108~10207;This project intends to study the anti‐Japanese films of Taiwan cinema from 1957 to 1981. There are three types of films in this period, which portray very different anit‐Japanese experiences. The first is the anti‐Japanese spy films, which portray Japanese as quite stupid and do not look different from the Chinese or Taiwanese. The second is the propaganda films made in the 70s that portray Chinese experiences, while the third basically portray Taiwanese experiences. The project will show how Japan is not the main subject of these films and what ideologies are at work behind these genre films.
