研究期間:10108~10207;The way human accessing software applications through communication technology keep evolving. At times we got desktops or laptops in hand the web browser is almost an equivalent of Internet. In current days with exploding number of smart mobile devices, mobile APPs become our de facto choice to access various Internet services. When the APP is running, desired functions usually rely on the power of cloud computing, and the APP simply serves as a client of the cloud above. Thus the task of providing smooth multimedia user experience under aforementioned mobile client-cloud architecture draws great attention. This three-year project plans to 1) explore the new source of available bandwidth in the TV white space through novel scheduling approach, 2) optimize end-to-end experiences through FEC and congestion control, and 3) propose a framework for context and white space aware client-cloud networks. We target on building solid theory, algorithm, and simulation platform, and producing results which lead us to fruitful future research.
