    Abstract: 研究期間:10110~10205;A large space may be a company office, a factory, a big classroom, or a library etc. in which there are a lot of people work and there are many air conditioners and lights. In general, at the working time, even few people are working, all air conditioners and lights are still turned on, so that the power consumption is very serious. Therefore, this project tries to design and complete an intelligent power saving system to save the power depending on the people number on the corresponding area. For example, in late night, if there are a few persons in a certain area, the area does not need to many lights and air conditioners. Then we can reduce the lights number and weaken the air condition strength on that area. If the area has no people, the system can turn off the lights and air conditioners automatically. Furthermore, automatic door opens once there is any people going through. After the person went through the door, the door closes automatically. However, if there is any one followed immediately to go through the door, the door will open and close gain. Then it wastes energy too. Suppose the power saving system can detect that there will be many persons going through the door in series, the door can open for a while until all series persons have gone through the door. After then the door closes. Then the power will be saved. Overall, we plan to design and complete an intelligent system which can detect the people number in some area to adjust the lights and air conditioners. Furthermore, it can detect whether there is many persons followed in series to go through the door, then the system can control the door opening time. The system contains two terminals, one is the detection terminal which uses a camera to capture the image and goes through image process to find the people number in the corresponding area. Then the people number datum is transferred to the control terminal which controls the switches of lights and air conditioner using embedded circuits. The design of the system will be applicable to any space without changing or with small changing any environment arrangement in the space.
