    Abstract: 研究期間:10108~10207;With the development of times and technological progress, an average life span of people are increasing year by year and it also make aging technology paid attention gradually. About personal safety care device has been widely developed these years (e.g., fall prevention detector, home surveillance system for the elderly,). In terms of personal safety, we attempt to develop a function which could help the aged with poor eyesight recognize their daily commodities (e.g., medicines, casters in kitchen,). As the aging physiology system is getting mature, we also want to develop an assistive device to make a psychological satisfaction of older people (e.g., user can share photos with their family or friends, user can play game with their family or friends,). We try to accommodate the aged to contact with the high-tech device easily in this high-tech era and implement some useful functions on portable platform which is convenient for the aged to take. Augmented-reality application and Gesture-recognition technology will make the aged touch the virtual world naturally. The projector of device is used to project amplification keyboard and the camera of device will catch user’s gesture, system will recognize what the user want to do according to following steps. Object-recognition technology needs to operate by building user’s daily commodities data base. For portable platform, we adopt low complexity algorithms in this project.
