Abstract: 研究期間:10201~10212;Recently, many sites of contaminated soil, such as dioxin-containing eggs in Changhua, hazardous materials wasted in Kaohsiung and soil contaminated by dioxin and mercury in Tainan, are discovered. These issuses have attracted much attention of government and general public. In these cases, contaminated soil in An-shun site simultaneously contains extremely high PCP, PCDD/F and mercury concentrations. Different characteristics of these contaminats have caused the difficulty by effective remediation. In recent three years, pyrolysis technology for PCDD/F removal in MWI ash is developed in this group. PCDD/Fs in MWI ash can be effectively destroyed via the continuous pyrolysis system developed. Less pollutant discharge, including flue gas emission and discharge of bottom ash, is found compared with thermal desorption technology. For enhancing the applicability of pyrolysis technology, the continuous pyrolysis system will be scaled-up and modified for remediation of contaminated soil in An-shun site in this study. Removal efficiencies of PCDD/Fs, PCP and mercury are evaluated in this study with different operating parameters, including operating temperature, retention time, additive ratio and composition of carrier gas. For effectively controlling pollutant emission, especially mercury, a novel quench tower is designed for recovering gas-phase mercury and condensing organic compounds. Finally, the organic compounds condensed will be further destroyed via multi-layer adsorption/pyrolysis/regeneration system. Pollutants in contaminated soil, including PCDD/Fs, POPs and mercury, can be effectively destroyed and recovered via an integrated system of continuous pyrolysis system and multi-layer adsorption/pyrolysis/regeneration setup developed in this study. The results obtained in this study can enhance technique level for remediation of contaminated soil and provide the novel technology for PCDD/F and mercury emission control.
