    Title: 含 pyrazole 及 isoxazole 有機桿狀液晶 與含 1,3,5-tribenzoylbenzenes 有機盤狀液晶

    Abstract: 本篇論文主要包含具有pyrazole結構以及isoxazole結構之有機液晶。所有化合物經由1H-NMR、13C-NMR、Mass與元素分析以鑑定其結構及純度,液晶相性質則是利用偏光顯微鏡(POM)來觀測相種類及熱微差掃描分析儀(DSC)測量相變化時之溫度與熱焓值,最後以變溫粉末X光繞射儀(XRD)確認相的種類。
    系列一以苯環為中心合成1, 4位置與1, 3位置具有pyrazole與isoxazole對稱結構液晶分子化合物 1a, 1b 與 2a, 2b 以及與不對稱結構液晶分子化合物 3a, 3b。我們發現1, 4位置的化合物2a具有液晶相,合環pyrazole後化合物1a液晶相消失;另一方面,1, 3位置化合物2b不具有液晶性質,但合環pyrazole後化合物1b則誘導出液晶性質。不對稱結構液晶分子化合物3a, 3b皆具有液晶性質。
    系列二以1,3,5-tribenzoylbenzenes為主體的盤狀液晶分子,合成出烷氧鏈總鏈數為3、6、9的化合物4a、4b、4c。化合物4a 總碳鏈數為3具有盤狀液晶DL相,而化合物4b與4c總碳鏈數6與9,則為盤狀液晶Colh相。化合物4a 之DL相推測是以兩個分子錯位形成dimer再相互堆疊成層狀結構DL液晶相。

    ;In this two series of new compounds were prepared and their
    mesomorphic properties were investigated. All organic derivatives were
    characterized by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.The mesomorphic
    behavior of these compounds were investigated by polarized optical microscopy (POM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement.
    In series I, it was found that compounds 1b, 2a, 3a and 3b exhibited calamitic mesophases. The compounds 1a and 2b were not mesogen because of their melocular shape which affected their mesomorphic properties.
    In series II, a new series of disk-like mesogen based on 1,3,5-tribenzoylbenzenes has been synthesized. The results indicated that the compound 4a with three alkyl chains exhibited discotic lamellar phase (DL). However, compound 4b and 4c with 6 or 9 long alkyl chains have hexagonal phase (Colh).
