    Abstract: 1604泉州地震是泉州史上規模最大之地震,而「泉州府志」中有疑似海嘯之敘述。此外在台灣新竹亦紀錄到異常之海水位變化。該事件雖然並未引起災害性之海嘯,然而,此海嘯訊號卻有重要意義,代表台灣西岸面臨大陸沿海海底地震所產生之潛在海嘯威脅。本研究將透過海嘯源強度分析法(Impact Intensity Analysis, IIA法),針對台灣西部沿海重點城市進行分析。其主要目的為以沿海城市為主體,探討泉州沿海以及臺灣海峽一帶之海嘯源對於分析區域之海嘯強度敏感性,以充分了解並掌握臺灣西部沿海之海嘯潛在威脅,而研究成果可應用於臺灣西部沿海城市對於海嘯災防策略之擬定。;The 1604 Quanzhou earthquake is the largest earthquake in Quanzhou City, and some suspected tsunami descriptions were recorded on the ancient literature, ‘Quanzhou Fu Zhi’. The abnormal tide was also recorded at Hsinchu, Taiwan. Although the tsunami waves didn’t cause disasters, the phenomenon was meaningful to the tsunami hazard mitigation. It indicated that the western coast of Taiwan is under the tsunami threat coming from the southeast coast of Mainland China. In this study, we intend to understand the tsunami threat through the Impact Intensity Analysis (IIA) for the major cities at the west coast of Taiwan. The sensitivity of the impact will be studied for the tsunamis sourcing from Quanzhou coastal region and the middle of Taiwan Strait. This project will help us to have better understanding on the potential tsunami threat along the western coast of Taiwan. The research result will also contribute on making the strategies of tsunami hazard mitigation.;研究期間:10402~10412
