    Title: 車流控制與車輛分群於Green Wave路口安全之研究;A Study of Green Wave Intersection Safety through Vehicle Clustering and Traffic Control Mechanisms

    Abstract: 隨著電子科技技術發展,智慧型運輸系統(Intelligent Transportation System, ITS)的研究逐漸成熟,對於車輛無線通訊技術的使用,能讓車子與車子、車子與道路之間進行資訊的交換,可用於改善運輸交通控制系統,並提升城市交通整體的運輸效率及安全性。傳統交通號誌控制系統,對於路口之間的協調及車流控制有有極大的限制,且較難考慮到交通安全等因素;並且在交通號誌系統建置成本的考量之下,實際上無法在每個路口都架設交通號誌來控制交通,所以駕駛在通行這些路口時並無相關的號誌指示,進而增加用路人的人身安全之威脅,減少交通運輸效率等成效。因此本論文在車載網路通訊技術的基礎之下,討論智慧型運輸系統對於路口及交通管理上的方法,透過車間通訊(Vehicle-to-Vehicle)進行交換車輛行駛在道路上的相關資訊,並建置虛擬號誌系統(Virtual Traffic Light System),以協調路口通行權之排程,改善車流控制與路口安全之問題。綜合以上敘述,本論文提出通行權排程虛擬交通號誌機制(Permission Schedule Virtual Traffic Light, PSVTL),考慮行車中車輛速度的調節,讓車流行駛在Green Wave的通行狀態,並將行車安全等因素列入考量,以減少車輛在行駛時發生追撞及路口碰撞等問題,並且對路口通行權進行排程,透過安全轉彎相位的結合,增進路口通行車輛的效率,透過車輛上的智慧型設備,提供駕駛車輛的行駛建議。最後,進行實驗模擬,以驗證機制的運行,實驗模擬結果顯示,本文提出之PSVTL機制,相較於傳統交通號誌控制方法,可以提升整體交通行車速度33%,以及增加42%的路口運輸吞吐量,並且減少50%以上因停等紅燈所造成的燃油消耗與廢氣排放。;With the development of electronic technology, the researches of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) has gradually come to maturity. The wireless communication technology is used to exchange the information between vehicles and road side units in order to improve the traffic control systems and increase security and the efficiency of transportation. There are many limitations of traditional traffic light management systems on intersectional coordination and traffic control, and it seldom discussed with the intersection safety problem. In the consideration of the cost, not every intersection will deploy the traffic light management system. Because of that, it will be dangerous for driving.
    Therefore, this paper will discuss the intersectional management based on Intelligent Transportation System. It can exchange the information about roads through the vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and develop a virtual traffic light system to improve the traffic control systems and safe driving. In conclusion, we design a Permission Schedule Virtual Traffic Light System to make the traffic drive in the Green Wave state. It will take the safe driving into consideration, and adjust the velocity of vehicles. And schedule the permission for passing the intersection, then combine the safe turning phases to improve the transportation throughput. After the experiments, the proposed PSVTL mechanism can improve the average velocity 33.78%, and increase 42.74% transportation throughput, reduce the use of fuels 84.45% and reduce the dangerous events more than 54.42%.
