    Abstract: 本篇論文是探討極性溶劑對於碳-氮偶合反應的影響,由於進行碳-氮偶合反應的時候,發現到叔丁醇鹽在非極性溶劑中的溶解度不好,所以我們希望用極性溶劑來增加叔丁醇鹽的溶解度以達到勻相催化,因此我們選用了二甲基亞碸取代甲苯來進行碳-氮偶合反應,發現到雖然使用極性溶劑確實增加了叔丁醇鹽的溶解度,但發現其碳-氮偶合產物的產率與起始物的轉換率不相符。更進一步確認發現到有碳-碳偶合的產物。因此推論極性溶劑能夠使用來促進碳-碳偶合反應,而進行一系列反應,並結合文獻來推測極性溶劑在反應中扮演的角色。最後我們在將極性溶劑使用在碳-氮偶合反應,以證明極性溶劑對於碳-氮偶合反應的負面影響。;This thesis describes the influence of polar solvent using in the carbon-nitrogen coupling reaction. We found on MOtBu wouldn’t dissolve well in nonpolar solvent during processing carbon-nitrogen coupling reaction. Hence we want to use polar solvent to increase the solubility of MOtBu to achieve homogeneous catalysis. Thus, we carried out carbon-nitrogen coupling reaction with dimethyl sulfoxide instead of toluene. Although MOtBu dissolved well in polar solvent, the yield of carbon-nitrogen coupling product was not compare to the conversion yield of starting material. We also found the carbon-carbon coupling product, so we assumed that polar solvent can be used to promote carbon-carbon coupling reaction. We proceeded a series reaction to confirm our assumption and also combined some reference to conclude the role of polar solvent. Finally, we used polar solvent to carry out carbon-nitrogen coupling reaction to confirm the negative influence of using polar solvent in the reaction.
