;Innovation is an important factor indispensable to organizational team. For innovation, organizational team needs to monitor and evaluate the external environment changes and emerging new needs, leverage internal resources, and integrate organizational internal and external resources in response to a rapidly changing environment. Most researchers have disregarded a integration research in the relationship between grasping external opportunities and leveraging internal resources. This study fills in the gap by construct a model among entrepreneurial orientation(EO), intellectual capital(IC), absorptive capacity(AC), and innovation. EO actively explore external opportunities, IC is the total stock of intangible capital of organization′s knowledge, as well as AC is the ability to acquire, assimilate, transform, exploit knowledge from outside the organization. These analyses are based on samples from the biotechnology industry project team 280 valid respondents (response rate 59.1%) in Taiwan. The empirical results show: (1) EO, IC and innovation have significant relationship; (2) EO and IC to AC have significant relationship indicating that EO and IC are the antecedents of AC; (3) the mediating effects of AC between EO/IC and innovation is not significant.
