    Title: 降低一種先導性畫面間預測計算複雜度之研究;Reduction of Computational Complexity for an Advanced HEVC Inter Prediction

    Abstract: 近年來隨著技術進步以及人類需求,許多高解析度的多媒體產品也越來越多,而為了能夠有效壓縮伴隨著高解析度而來的龐大資料量,HEVC使用許多的方法來有效的降低位元率。回顧先前研究,將雙向絕對誤差和(Sum of Absolute Bi-Prediction Differences/SABPD)與模板匹配(Template Matching/TM)演算法應用於擴充型合併模式決策以及畫面間模式決策,相較於HEVC標準架構中的合併模式決策與畫面間模式決策,其利用已編碼完成的資訊來進行預測,在解碼端搜尋到相同預測畫面,如此便能減少需要傳送的標頭檔資訊,以節省傳送的位元率,但編碼時間也因為計算複雜度提升有所增加。為了能夠降低運算複雜度,本篇論文中改變了模板匹配的參考範圍、利用畫面間模式決策之運動向量資訊以及合併模式RDO來提前終止畫面間預測。最後將其做結合,由實驗結果得知,編碼時間減少了19.19%,BDBR僅上升0.09%。;With the advancement of technology and high requirement, multimedia devices that have high resolution started to rapidly increase in numbers. In order to compress the significant increasing of data storage effectively, HEVC utilize multiple techniques to efficiently decrease bitrate。Review the previous work which using Sum of Absolute Bi-Prediction Differences(SABPD) and Template Matching(TM) algorithm in extended merge mode decision and inter prediction mode and utilizing encoded information to predict. With such comparison against merge mode decision and inter mode decision of HEVC, the decoder can predict the same predicted block with the same information, so we can reduce transmitting header information to decrease bitrate. However, the coding time might be longer due to the increase of computational complexity. In order to decrease the computational complexity, we proposed the change of TM range, 〖Early Inter〗_MV and 〖Early Inter〗_RDO to early terminate inter prediction. At last we combine the methods together. According to experimental results, our proposed algorithm receives a result in decreasing the coding time by 19.19% by only increase BDBR by 0.09%
