The abnormality should be documented for cause analysis. This system from our research is based on time interval for query. In this way, the manager can find out the most frequent abnormalities, so as to prevent such incidents to reduce idle time and improve machine utilization rate.
The Oracle database is used in this research in connection with the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) database. In case of machine breakdown, the Oracle system will receive instant messages from MES database. The messages will be then used as source materials from WEB pages, which may be developed with VB.NET in Microsoft Visual Studio, for troubleshooting and maintenance. The system has the following features: (1) An abnormality proportion analysis is further focused on those frequent issues during education and training schemes, to speed up repairing and correctness. (2) Proportion of parts that causes machine abnormalities. (3) Report and analytical diagram collection for further usage by users. (4) History inquiry for abnormalities and solutions.
