大氣的現象對我們的經濟和社會生活產生重大的影響。在2017年,台灣經歷了乾旱、洪水、以及嚴重的空氣污染事件。2017年3月,石門水庫因為長期的乾旱,而造成嚴重的集水下降現象。2017年8月15號下午4點51分,在炎熱的夏季當中,發生瞬間不預期的斷電現象。而在2017年7月29日,在颱風尼莎和颱風海棠經過以後,在台南與屏東地區產生嚴重的淹水現象。以及2017年6月6日時的豪雨,對台灣西北部產生局部地區產生嚴重的積水現象。觀測資料蒐集在不斷的成長;使用人工智慧的科學和技術的方法,在過去幾年也有大幅的增長。因此資料的增加以及人工智慧科學的發展,可以讓我們來發展新的工具,以用來解決上述所提到的這些的問題。在本研究計劃當中,我們將發展新的工具,以人工智慧方法,進行空氣污染、劇烈降雨事件、乾旱、及大眾健康有關事件的預測工具的開發。 ;Atmospheric processes have played important roles in our economy and society. In 2017, Taiwan had suffered and experienced a crisis of drought over Shihmen reservoir during March 2017; an unexpected and wide-spread power cut at 16:51 on 15 August 2017, in the middle of a very hot summer; the heavy flooding over Tainan and Pingdon areas on 29 July 2017 after the passing of typhoons Nesat and Haitang; and heavy rainfalls over Northern Taiwan on 6 June 2017. The amount of observational data has significantly increased; the science and technology for artificial intelligence to turn data into answers have grown in the past few years. These two trends have enabled the development of new tools to solve mentioned problems. In this project, we intend to develop new tools of artificial intelligence for air pollution prediction, heavy rainfall prediction, drought predictions, and public health prediction.
