地理資訊作為一個整合媒介,常被應用於不同領域。隨著全球網際網路近年的快速發展,使用者可輕 易地在網路上分享地理網路服務及資料,此些資料及服務的集合即為地理網路(GeoWeb)。然而如同網 際網路,當越來越多的地理資源被散佈於網路上時,使用者將難以從巨量地理網路資料(Big GeoWeb Data)搜尋到需要的資源。雖然目前有地理資料入口網站及空間資料基礎建設供使用者查詢註冊於此 些平台之地理資源。但除了沒有一個平台索引所有地理網路資源,使用者也難以得知所有的平台。為 從根本解決地理資源搜尋的問題,本計畫提出完整的地理網路資源搜尋之解決方案,包含(1)開放式 地理網路資源發掘架構主動找尋並索引分享於網路上之地理資源、(2)地理網路搜尋引擎結合多種 資訊提供最符合使用者需求之搜尋排序、(3)地理資源預覽平台提供輕量且高效的地理資源展示、(4) 地理資源社群網路幫助建立個人化及社群化搜尋排序機制、(5)推送式地理資源搜尋架構根據使用 者訂閱條件或社群資訊推薦可能感興趣之資源、及(6)地理網路資源之語意整合透過語意資訊群聚地 理資源主題以幫助資源之搜尋與推薦。整體而言,本計畫將大幅改善地理網路資源的搜尋效率,促進 地理資源之重複利用,並推廣地理資訊至各領域達成多面向的綜合分析。 ;With the advance of the World-Wide Web (WWW), general publics are able to easily share geospatial data or services on the Web. The collection of these geospatial data and web service is defined as the GeoWeb (Geospatial Web). Similar to the WWW, while more and more geospatial resources are shared online, users face difficulties in finding resources on the GeoWeb. Although users can find geospatial resources in platforms like data portals and spatial data infrastructures, no platform indexes all the GeoWeb resources and no user knows every platform on the Web. Therefore, we argue that a general solution for addressing the geospatial resource discovery issue is necessary. In order to solve the GeoWeb resource discovery problem, this proposal presents a comprehensive solution, including (1) open GeoWeb resource crawler proactively discover and index GeoWeb resources, (2) GeoWeb search engine integrate various information to provide ranked results that are most suitable for users’ needs, (3) GeoWeb resource visualizer provides lightweight and efficient GeoWeb resource visualization platform, (4) GeoWeb online social network helps establish personalized and social-network-based search ranking algorithm, (5) push-based GeoWeb resource discovery framework recommends resources based on users’ subscriptions or social network information, and (6) semantic-based GeoWeb resource integration categorize resources based on semantic information to improve the search ranking and recommendation. Overall, we believe that the proposed solution is the solution for the GeoWeb resource discovery issue. Similar to Web search engines have improved the web resource discovery efficiency, our solution will significantly reduce the time users spent on searching for GeoWeb resources, and consequently promote the use of geospatial information in various domains.
