摘要:	科技部自然司地球科學研究推動中心主要任務之一是加強國內地球科學藏書與期刊完整性，以服務國內地球科學研究人員之需求，透過執行地球科學圖書服務計畫，協助持續訂購多種地球科學領域期刊(包含紙本與電子版)與圖書採購，提供國內地科相關領域同仁所需的地科研究資訊。在本計畫中也規劃提供「補助購買單篇西文期刊論文服務」，針對研究人員所屬單位未訂購西文期刊之所需，申請人可以透過地科中心網站申請補助，中心審核通過即可補助該篇期刊論文購買費用，期望能讓圖書服務計畫發揮最大經濟效益，也滿足研究人員需求。本中心另於臺灣大學成立「北部地區地球科學圖書期刊服務中心」及中山大學成立「南部地區地球科學期刊圖書服務中心」，以提供完整性服務。 ;This library service project is aimed to promote collections of books and scientific journals for supporting researchers in broad earth science disciplinary. This is also one of missions of the Earth Science Research Promotion Center (ESRPC) appointed by the Department of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Science and Technology. This project will support procurements of both printed and electronic journals selected by researchers in universities and research institutes in Taiwan. Sustaining procurements of journals are very important to researchers in view of being aware of most updated information and progress in science community. This project also supports purchase of single journal article. This is particular important to researchers whenever year-around procurement of specific journals are not available to them. Researchers may apply for support of single journal article through the ESRPC website. After approval, the cost of purchasing that article will be reimbursed. With limited resource in library service project, supporting the purchase of single journal article is expected to be economic effective and compensate researchers’ needs. There are two branches of ESRPC’s library services located at the National Taiwan University and the Sun Yat-Sen University. With supports by both branch offices, the ESRPC is able to provide more comprehensive library services to earth science communities.
