印尼隱沒帶的隱沒板塊溫度構造有顯著的沿海溝走向的變化,是由於海洋板塊的年齡和聚合速度的變化形成。我們將探討沿海溝變化的以下觀測:(1)板塊間逆衝型地震的孕震帶分布、(2)隱沒板塊地震活動度隨著深度的變化、(3)由和達–班尼奧夫地震帶形成的隱沒板塊形貌、(4)中深部和深部地震所呈現的隱沒板塊應力狀態、(5)火山島弧相對海溝距離的空間變化。以上的形成機制都被認為是隱沒板塊溫度參數的函數。藉由至今更完整地震資料的分析,我們預期結果相較於過去已分析的(如2,3,4),會有更高的空間解析度,相較於過去未分析的(如1,5),可提供變化趨勢的觀測。無論是哪一種,本計畫所整理出來沿海溝變化的趨勢,都可用來檢驗目前對板塊地震、板塊應力、火山島弧形成機制的解釋。 ;The Indonesian subduction zone exhibit significant variations of slab thermal structures along strike with corresponding varying seafloor age and convergence rates. We investigate the along-strike variations on (1) seismogenic zone of interplate thrust earthquakes, (2) seismicity as a function of depth, (3) slab geometries as revealed by Wadatti-Benioff zones, (4) slab stress regimes as revealed by intermediate-depth and deep earthquakes, and (5) spatial distributions of arc volcanisms relative to trench. All are deemed as a function of slab thermal parameter. By using up-to-date seismic data, we expect to have a result of more detailed spatial resolution for observed patterns that are previously analyzed ((2), (3), (4)) and of more insight understanding on the patterns those that are not analyzed previously ((1), (5)). In any case, the compiled observations will be used to attest proposed mechanisms for their occurrence or formation.
