;There are often gaps and omissions found during the inquiry of reference books when more-detailed dictions and jargons are used in daily conversation or workplaces due to the superficial researches conducted to make the comparison between the collection of domestic and international Hakka vocabulary and actual practice of social language. The collection of vocabulary often relies on the methods of taking the inclusion of Chinese dictionary or traditional dialect survey form as shortcut and further making slight supplements. As far as the recent achievement is concerned, it fails to describe the pragmatics of social language, and to reflect the condition of language interaction, especially the jargons which have not been produced along with the changing society. As a result, this project manages to categorize the vocabulary that correlates with each other instead. With theme-based vocabulary, learners and researchers are expected to grasp and understand completely the unique culture information of Hakka industries. This project is performed with separate three years: 1. The investigation of jargons in Nanzhuang and Sanyi, Miaoli and Dongshih, Taichung: trout rearing, wood carfting, top-grafting sand pears technique, and so forth 2. The investigation of jargons in Guansi and Zhudong, Hsinchu: hai-li tangor, herbal jelly, mushrooms planting, and so forth 3. The investigation of jargons in Longtan and Daxi, Taoyuan: peanut brittle processing, Shihmen fish cuisine, pressed tofu, and so forth With the data collection of approaching to fields and the elderly of Hakka villages, recording those vocabulary non-existing in reference books or survey forms by Hakka Chinese characters, and further annotating and supplementing, the corpus will be archived according to entry word, pronunciation, and interpretation. Through this process, the project is expected to record complete Hakka vocabulary and to construct theme-based Hakka corpus. It further provides design bases for the Hakka e-learning resources at back-end and the development of Hakka culture and creativity. Besides, this corpus is created with audio files and handmade figures so as to research on pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar and compare with different languages. |
