;The Battle of Korea in Wanli was an important battle for the Wanli Dynasty, which not only determined the fate of the Korea, but also reflected the national strength of the Ming Dynasty. It took a great deal of effort from the Minister of the Central Dynasty to the commander of the army, from the grain distribution to the lead of the army to go on the expedition. At last, it gave Japan a heavy blow and saved Korea from the fall. It also proved the unshakable dominance of the Ming Dynasty in the East Asian Circle at that time.
This paper first discusses the source of grain supply, through analysis can be found that the vast majority of grain through the land from Shandong to Liaodong and then pull up Korea; or the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal transport, first to Tianjin coast, and then to Korea. Therefore, Shandong′s strategic position is indispensable. Secondly, this paper discusses the transport and shortage of grain. The author will discuss the process and dilemma of transport to Korea from land, sea and even other alternatives, as well as the arrangement and views of the donors on grain rates. Finally, the author will compare the consumption of grain and wages, the impact on the Ming Dynasty, and the inevitable link between grain and the victory or defeat of the war.
Through this study, the author not only focuses on the payment of grain and wages between the Ming Dynasty and the Korea, but also hopes to present the consumption and hardship of the Ming Dynasty and the Korea from a more diversified perspective. On the whole, although the Wanli Korean Battle consumed the huge wealth of the Ming Dynasty, including human and material resources, the relative, but in return for the long-term stability of the Korea. The significance of this war is of great importance to a country, but behind it lies a great deal of internal consumption, even the beginning of decay, which affects the development of a country. This is also the focus that we can not ignore.
