人類利用電離層反射無線電波訊號的特性,達到千里傳聲的目的。但在利用電離層的同時,卻也受到電離層的濃度分佈與結構所影響。不僅是地面通訊,連同衛星通訊也會受到干擾,進而影響到資料傳輸、影音轉播、定位導航與衛星操控等。臺灣所發射的福爾摩沙衛星五號,酬載著中央大學自製的先進電離層探測儀(太空魔方),成為世界上最精準的電將探測儀器,提供電離層濃度與結構變化,將有助監測電離層太空天氣對於通訊的影響。然而,如果輝煌的成就在台灣卻少為人知,國人對於太空技術發展仍多停留在國外科技。本計劃結合中央大學太空科學、科技和太空天氣的專家,設計一套電波通訊與電離層的課程模組,依序介紹電波通訊、福衛五號、不規則體影響,然後說明太空魔方如何協助通訊品質改善。計劃執行期間,預期將活動由北部出發,走向花東、中南部與離島,以營隊和講座的方式,提升國人對新興衛星科技與太空天氣的認識。 ;The Earth’s ionosphere can reflect the radio wave to assistant signal propagating to far distance, but also affect radio propagation by its electron density and structure. The ionosphere not only influences the radio wave from one ground stations to the other, but also communications between satellites and ground sites. Therefore, satellite data transmission, video and audio broadcasting, navigation and positioning, and orbit control are all affected. The FORMOSAT-5 was launched with the advanced ionosphere probe (AIP), which could provide precise and accurate measurement for ionospheric density structure. Nevertheless, there are less reports and outreach activities mention about this successful payload and mission in Taiwan. In order to widely performed knowledge on radio communication, space science and space weather, an outreach group involving professors and researchers in Nation Central University will develop a series course and activity. This project will introduce ionospheric radio propagation and further promote the FORMOSAT-5 and AIP by science camps, lectures from northern counties to expand entire Taiwan area.
